Orchard House provides safe, supportive placements for parents and their children. This can be for:
Families live in our large, child-friendly, shared house. Parents care for their children independently, although support and guidance is on hand from a small, select team of specialist staff of 'house parents'.
Our staff are trained and experienced in working with and supporting families with a range of difficulties, including young parents, parents with learning disabilities and parents who have been in care themselves. The house parents provide sensitive and supportive help so that parents can learn and develop the skills needed to provide safe care for their child.
All families living at Orchard House are offered the opportunity to attend workshops, parenting groups and resources at our Orchard House Family Services as part of their placement.
