Orchard House Family Services is based on Canon Street, in the town centre of Taunton. This is where we have our contact centre, our meeting rooms, our intervention centre and our offices. It is close to the bus station, within walking distance from the train station, and there is a large pay and display car park opposite.
We also have a house in the community, Orchard House Westgate Street. This is a child-friendly, safe place where families can live whilst community assessments are carried out. Westgate Street is often used as a transitional placement between a residential assessment and the family's home community, although some families live there without having been in a residential placement. Westgate Street allows families to live independently and levels of supervision and assessment can be adapted based on the strengths, risks and stage of assessment.
Orchard House has two houses for residential parenting assessments: Orchard House Middleway and Orchard House Greenway Road.
